OUR IMPACT
vote mob
Vote Mob tackles common barriers to voting by providing a safe, welcoming space for communities to come together and celebrate the act of voting. Started in Kansas, this youth-led initiative has expanded to Ohio and Colorado, reaching more communities and reshaping the narrative around civic participation. We celebrate the power of our vote and together march in and vote early.
rock the block
Rock the Block is a community-driven event that brings neighbors together with free food, music, and resources to support voting and civic engagement. Held before elections, it focuses on communities with historically low voter turnout, aiming to activate, inform, and build lasting relationships that strengthen local participation
Youth-Led candidate forums
Throughout the year, Root the Power interns go around the city to different events and community meetings to encourage people to register to vote. We believe in the power of the vote. Your vote, your voice.
In-School Groups
Our in-school groups and presentations empower young people to lead discussions on civic engagement among their peers. From high school advocacy sessions during lunch hours to interactive workshops, students gain the knowledge, tools, and confidence to participate in democracy and inspire their communities.
